Sculpteo and Forward AM by BASF boost their production capacities with three 3D printing material lines

Our 3D printing service Sculpteo and Forward AM are pleased to announce a new catalogue integrating a range of 3D printing material suitable for vehicles and new mobility. The range was developed by BASF in its two R&D centers in Germany and France and now available as 3D printed parts to through our online 3D printing!

Each of these new high-performance materials has properties meeting the constraints of the transportation industry: stronger and more resistant to heat, flexible, and cost-effective, they enable the manufacturing of large parts. Sculpteo, a BASF’s wholly-owned subsidiary which has doubled its production capacity in France, confirms its strategic role by bringing proof of market through manufacturing for its extended portfolio of clients. This market validation accelerates the massive industrial deployment within BASF Forward AM’s customer base.

By working with Sculpteo, Forward AM has an agile, market-oriented partner which allows the company to quickly validate materials and rapidly deploy them among its industrial clients integrating 3D printing”, explains Dr. Dietmar Bender, Managing Director Forward AM.

Clément Moreau, CEO and Co-Founder of Sculpteo, adds “We are happy to provide our clients with an extended portfolio of materials. These technological materials give industries the freedom of envisioning and developing devices which will revolutionize mobility at a much higher pace”.

This material is made out of Thermoplastic Polyurethane powder, offers durable, strong, and flexible parts. It can be used to manufacture footwear, or sports protection equipment. With its flexibility, this TPU can also be used in the automotive industry, to create car interior components.

If you are looking for a resistant, flexible, and rubbery material, this TPU is the perfect option. With a good resilience after deformation and a high UV stability, this SLS TPU offers numerous advantages for your projects requiring an elastomeric material.

This 3D printing Polypropylene material is offering strength, ductility and stiffness to manufacture your end-use parts. This PP is perfect to create chemical resistant, lighter, and watertight/airtight parts.

The formula of this Polypropylene powder offers great chemical resistance, high elongation at break, but also durability and low moisture absorption. PP 3D printing material is perfect for industrial uses, from pipes to machinery, but also to create reservoirs due to its chemical resistance properties.

Ultrasint® PA6 FR is an advanced engineering polymer powder for Powder Bed Fusion with an innovative formulation containing a flame-retardant (FR) additive. This high-performance material can be used for electronics projects, or for various applications inside the transportation sector.

PA6 MF is built on the chemical base of reinforced PA6; it boasts extremely high rigidity, media tightness, and enhanced thermal distortion performance. You will be able to get 3D printed parts with extremely high strength and rigidity and its resistance to high temperatures.

You can now upload your 3D file and choose the perfect 3D printing material for your next project. If you have any questions about these next materials, their applications, or their properties, feel free to contact our 3D printing experts.
