Here is some big news for you: At Sculpteo, we recently obtained the ISO 9001- 2015 standard. We are also announcing a new partnership with a challenging industry: the company Bombardier, a leader in manufacturing both planes and trains, is working with us.

What is this standard, what does it represent for our online 3D printing service? What does this ISO 9001 – 2015 standard change for you? We will explain everything you need to know in this blog post!

What is this ISO 9001-2015 standard?

Obtaining this standard confirms the high quality of the process and services we are offering at Sculpteo. It also enables our company to partner with the largest industrial companies.

This standard, defined by the International Standard Organization, specifies requirements for a quality management system when an organization needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. The aim is to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including all processes for improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

The standard is granted exclusively to companies proving that they have implemented protocols ensuring improvements and quality of the service for clients.

This ISO standard allows us to partner with leading manufacturers like Bombardier. Indeed this standard is an additional level of trust.

According to Clément Moreau, CEO of Sculpteo, “Only yesterday was 3D printing considered an imperfect technology; it has now become a tool opened to, not only some pioneers, but an asset of the largest industrial companies. Obtaining the ISO 9001-2015 standard is the result of a process that mobilized all of Sculpteo’s skills. It certifies the level of quality and precision of its different 3D printing services, which suit the most demanding manufacturing process of the upper industries

Our new partner: Bombardier

One of our partners is now Bombardier, a transportation company from Montréal, Canada. Bombardier is a world’s leading manufacturer for both planes and trains and they chose Sculpteo’s 3D printing service to manufacture their parts. The 3D printed parts built for Bombardier are complex and have to act as a mount for different instrumentations of fatigue tests, such as comparators, pulleys and targets, but also for acoustics like acoustical racquets, microphone mount, etc.

Stéphane Veste, Testing Engineer in the Product Integrity Test Pole of Bombardier Transport France: “We are regularly left to manufacture in 3D printing, parts that are essential in our measuring process. We rely on rules that compel us to a certain rigor regarding, amongst others, the positioning of the sensors, a phase where we use the 3D printed parts (acoustical racquet, microphone mount, positioning tools in relation to the path median, etc.). The quality of these tools contributed to the obtainment of the RFU-022 standard”.

Sculpteo is here to help you manufacturing all of your projects, and now obtained the ISO 9001-2015, proving the quality of our process and service for our customers! So, if you want to make the most of the 3D printing service, like Bombardier, you can contact us, or directly upload your 3D file on our online 3D printing service.
